API is a way for software to talk to fax.monster. MCP is a plug that lets AI assistants like Claude use fax.monster. Both are included. A command-line tool is coming soon.

  • 1,000 pages included, then $0.03 per extra page.
  • Failed faxes do not use your page allowance or prepaid API credits. Fax only ($1.99): one free retry, then email us for a refund if it still fails.

Questions

How are API and MCP sends billed?
With an active Fax Monster Business subscription, API and MCP sends use your Business monthly page bucket (1,000 pages in + out combined). They do not spend prepaid API credits unless you send from the shared number without Business or rent a separate API private number.
Can I keep my old fax number?
Not yet. We assign a new US fax number from our pool (number porting is not available yet).
Is this for medical records?
No. We are not a HIPAA service. Do not send protected health information.
What counts as a page?
Each sheet in your PDF counts as one page, up to our per-fax upload limit.
What happens when I cancel?
Your number stays reserved for 7 days so you can finish paperwork. Then it goes back to the pool and stored media is deleted after 7 days.
Can my whole team share one login?
Not in this version. One human owner per account. Team seats are coming later.
